Sara I. Chairez

Sara I. Cairez passed away on June 2, 2017, at the age of 77 in Delano, CA. She was born in Jalisco, Mexico to Aurelio and Ignacia Ibarra. Sara retired as a house keeper and agriculture laborer. Sara is preceded in death by her husband Daniel Chairez, her daughter Elvira Tamez and son Enrique Garcia. She is survived by her two brothers Antonio Ibarrra and Cruz Ibarra from Mexico and a sister Oralia Ibarra Virgen, children Esperanza Garcia, Hector Garcia (Diane) Magdeleno Garcia (Alice) Javier Garcia; 25 grandchildren, and 42 great- grand children. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Sara loved to knit and sew; her best hobby was yard selling.  Sara loved teaching her grandchildren how to cook her favorite dishes and baking, showing them all the short cuts she knew which will be shared thru her grandchildren. Her memories of cooking, giving her blunt funny advice and making jokes out of them to her grandchildren will live on. Sara was a very grateful person and appreciated the gifts her grandchildren always gave her and loved when friends and family would visit her. She will be greatly missed.
Services will be on June 13, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Mc Farland, CA. Rosary and viewing from 10:00am - 11:00am. Mass at 12:00 pm. Graveside at 1:00pm at North Kern Cemetery.
The Garcia family wishes to thank everyone who has given their support and love unconditionally to their mother Sara and her family.
